Diamond State will have a table at the Newark Winterfest this Friday December 6 (rain date Saturday December 7) at the Academy Building Lawn. We’ll grab a couple brooms and answer questions about our great sport and how to participate.
The event runs from 6-8pm (setup around 5pm) and the Barnes and Noble parking lot is reserved for volunteers.
“Winterfest is an annual Holiday themed event that includes the annual Holiday tree lighting on the Academy Building Lawn, visits with Santa, roasted chestnuts, performances and demos, and, on Friday night, the Special Olympics’ Reindeer Run (it is rain or shine, but Winterfest has a rain date). Typically the event has between 500 and 2.500 attendees.”
