Spring Sunday League Implication
Tonight’s game is the last one before the finals. Here’s how each team is doing and what they can change before next week. There’s lots of possible ties. The first tie break is ends won, then total points. The current total ends won by each team so far is: Donovan-13, Johnson-14, Kupchik-14, Vild-15, Hercus-16, Lappert-17, Hufe-26. Below the description of the implications is an image showing the analysis. In the grid, the W applies to a win by the team in bold. I did not check what would happen if teams tied.
Hufe – You are guaranteed the A event
Lappert – You are guaranteed A event if you win. If you lose you can end up in a 3 way tie for the A/B with Vild and Donovan if Hufe and Vild Win, or a three way tie for B/C event if Vild and Hercus win, or a two way tie for B/C if Kupchik and Hercus win. You will be guaranteed B event if you lose, Kupchik wins and Hufe wins.
Hercus – You can be guaranteed A event if you, Donovan, and Vild all win. You will be in a tie break for A/B with Kupchik if you, Kupchik, and Donovan win. You will be guaranteed B event if you and Lappert Win or if you lose, Lappert wins and Kupchik wins. You will be in a tie break for B/C if you lose and Lappert and Vild win. You will be guaranteed C event if you lose and Donovan wins.
Kupchik – You will be guaranteed A event if you win along with Hufe and Donovan. You’ll be in a tie break for A/B if you win along with Donovan and Hercus. You’ll be guaranteed B event if you win and Lappert wins. You’ll be in a tie break for B/C if you lose and Hufe and Lappert win. Otherwise if you lose you’re guaranteed C event.
Vild – If you lose you’re guaranteed C event. If you win and Lappert wins you’re guaranteed B event. If you win with Donovan and Hufe you’re in a tie break for A/B. If you win with Donovan and Hercus you’re in a tie break for B/C.
Donovan – If you lose you’re guaranteed the C event. If you win and Hercus wins you’re in a tie break for B/C. If you win along with Hufe and Kupchik you’re guaranteed B event. If you win along with Hufe and Vild you’re in a tie break for A/B.
Johnson – You’re guaranteed a bye week during finals week. You are currently in last place and it’s your bye week, so you can’t directly affect your fate. No combination of wins and losses in other games puts you in a final. But there are absences on finals week, so you should be able to sub if you want to come out and play.
Cancellation Last Week
We have a few options to reimburse you for your lost league night. You can either receive a sub credit to be used in a future league or a coupon code for $25 to be used as a discount on a future league these two are the easiest for our club to handle on the back end. We can also credit $25 to the payment method you used to purchase the league. If you’re feeling generous you can also donate the $25 to the club, we’re a nonprofit 501(c)(3) and would greatly appreciate the donation. If you do not tell us which option you choose before June 10th, our default will be to provide you with a coupon code. Please fill out this SURVEY to let us know you’re preference.
