Diamond State Curling Club offers very affordable, highly professional, curling-based teambuilding events for corporate clients in northern Delaware and surrounding areas.  Our events are hosted at Patriot Ice Center in Newark, DE.

Curling is a sport of individual skill and contribution, but success requires real-time problem solving and highly communicative teamwork -- perfect stimuli for nurturing teamwork.  Our fun and exciting teambuilding events provide memories that will last a lifetime, and have evolved into fun-filled annual inter-departmental grudge matches for many of our clients.

Semi-private events start as low as $50 per person.

Over the past 34 years, our instructors have hosted hundreds of similar corporate teambuilding events, serving thousands of individual participants at curling clubs from Philadelphia to Boston.  We're very excited to now be able to share this fantastic opportunity with your team here in northern Delaware!

  • No prior experience or special equipment required.
  • No special skills or super athleticism needed.
  • Suitable for all ages, at all levels of fitness, including wheelchair athletes.

We offer two types of sessions for teambuilding or other groups of at least 8 people: private and semi-private. Groups fewer than 8 people are recommended to utilize our normal Intro to Curl program. For either type of session, we would supply all necessary equipment and instructors.  The normal 2.5 hr session includes 15-30 min off-ice safety instruction and intro to curling followed by about 2 hours of on-ice instruction, practice and supervised game play.

Semi-Private

Our Semi-private sessions would share the ice with one of our member league evenings, a public Intro-to-Curl or another event.  As such, we would limit the number of people involved to either 8 or 16 depending on the ice available.  Games are usually played as 4 person teams, so 8 people would be appropriate for one sheet (the game area) of ice.

Private

Our Private sessions provides ice time for your group alone. Scheduling private events usually requires our negotiating with the arena management for ice time, previously not scheduled for curling.  The Arena is often unable to provide weeknight ice time due to hockey and figure skating programs.

Just bring a smile and a willingness to have fun -- we'll do the rest!
