04/04/26 MACA Leg – Potomac

The second leg of this season’s 2025-2026 MACA friendly will be held at Potomac Curling Club on Saturday, April 4th from 11:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Diamond State has four slots reserved for our club members – if you are interested in playing, please contact Dewey Donovan either on Slack or by sending email to president@diamondstatecurling.org.  The roster from Diamond State will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Sign-in will begin at 11:30 along with light snacks – breakfast bars, granola, and yogurt.  First draw  will be at 12:30 p.m.,  with pizza and salad break before the second draw, which will begin around 3:00 p.m.  You’ll pay your $20 fee on arrival at Potomac. The MACA (Mid Atlantic Curling Association) events are  fun, one-day, inexpensive, and very friendly one-day bonspiels between the
seven area clubs: Potomac, Bucks, Philadelphia, Plainfield, Chesapeake, Diamond State, and Pinelands.

The event is limited to 32 participants; Diamond State has reserved slots for 4 curlers. Additional entrants from DSCC may be accepted if the other clubs’ slots are not all filled.

ALL MEMBERS of the participating clubs are encouraged to enter – beginner through experienced curlers. Positions are rotated every couple of ends.  If you’re unfamiliar with a position (e.g. skipping) other players will be happy and eager to assist you. Beginning and less-experienced curlers are especially encouraged to register.
