March Curling Week 3 Recap

REMINDER – No Curling this week, April 3rd. The finals are scheduled for April 10th

Team B – Dewey, Phil, Neil, Adam

Team A – 7 points and 4 ends
Team B – 5 points and 4 ends

As I mentioned in week 1, to determine a winner of this lightly attended edition of March Curling Madness, I’m going to use points spiel rules and track everyone’s score individually.  As a reminder, in points-spiel format a win is worth 5 points, every end you win is worth 1 point, and every point you score is worth a half point.

Previous Standings:
Andy and Neil – 32.5
Adam and Mike – 19.5
Dewey and Ian – 17
Cody – 11
Brian and Jesse – 7
Phil – 0

Points scored this week:
Mike, Brian, Andy, Cody – 12.5
Dewey, Phil, Neil, Adam – 6.5

Current Standings:
Andy – 45
Neil – 39
Mike – 32
Adam – 26
Cody – 23.5
Dewey – 23.5
Brian – 19.5

So for the finals, assuming everyone is present, we’ll ensure that Andy and Neil are split up. We’ll also put Mike on Andy’s team and Adam on Neil’s team so each have a chance of moving up a rank.

Side game recap –
Phil, Mike, Adam, Cody, Neil, and Brian dressed to the theme, they’ve each got another ticket in the raffle for a $25 gift card for club swag.
Dewey won he necklace contest and Brian won the score guess.  

The next game is 4/10. The theme for that night is “Diamond State”, come wearing your Diamond State gear (or buy a tee shirt at the club) and get a raffle ticket for a gift card. If your availability has changed for 4/10 please let me know as soon as you know for certain so we can recruit subs.
